We had some important birthdays over the last year. So we decided to go on a family trip to Branson. So we (7 adults, 2 kiddos) loaded up in our two cars and headed east on Thursday evening - hoping to get all the way to Branson that evening.
Erin rode with us and entertained Cameron with her incredible doodlepad drawings including Wall-E.
Stopped and let the kiddos run around
& get ready for bed so they could sleep in the car. Cameron decided he did not want to sleep in the car so he was up until midnight when we got to Branson.
We were so incredibly blessed to get to use a condo of some dear friends of Shannon's and it was great. All of us in one place, beds for everyone, two bathrooms, pool, living space for the kiddos, kitchen. It was perfect. We brought toys, books, and movies with us but the best fun was with each other like getting grandma to run circles.
Hannah admiring herself and her hat in the mirror. Such a cutie.
The kiddos loving their hats and ready to go hit the town.
We headed to one of the many available game centers - it had all sorts of video games and such inside.
The kiddos would run from game to game - not playing anything just climbing in the seats and turning the steering wheels. Fun and free!!
Hannah enjoyed the music and danced around. Cameron played one game with daddy.
Daniel, David, Shannon & Erin drove the go-carts. The kiddos were too small to ride with them.
The rest of us watched them for a while but the kiddos were a little jealous and got tired of sitting there so we went and looked around and I enjoyed taking pictures of them walking to us and then Shannon and Erin had a good time walking funny, slow motion-like for me.
Such a fun family. After go-carts, we all went mini-golfing.
It was so much fun to see the daddies teach their kiddos and to see the kiddos trying to play golf.
The whole family - we don't travel light with the kiddos. We had strollers, bags, and purses to haul with us along with our golf balls & clubs.
The golf course was pretty and fun and the weather was great - not too hot considering it was July. Cameron within the first 5-10 minutes threw his ball into the water so he played with mine the rest of the time.
David playing one handed while he carried a stroller. Daniel working and being so patient with Cameron.
The kiddos were so fun and really did so great especially considering how little sleep they had that previous evening.
We picked up a quick lunch and headed back to the condo to rest and put the kiddos down for naps.
We were all pretty tired so David & Allison took naps, Shannon rested, but mom and Erin went shopping and Daniel took it easy with me by the pool while I sunbathed.
Cameron woke up with a fever and was not feeling very good. So the kiddos and we parents planned an evening at the condo including ordering some Italian food, picking up ice cream and wine, and watching Finding Nemo. Mom, Shannon and Erin went to go see the Haygoods which was really good.
These cuties. Cameron thankfully started feeling better with the help of a good movie.
Allison and I enjoyed some wine.
We took a nice walk around the condo facility which was nice to get some fresh air and let the kiddos run some energy off.
And we thoroughly enjoyed our yummy custard.
After baths, the kiddos enjoyed being tossed on the bed over and over and over again.
So much fun.
Blessed.
