I REALLY DO NOT LIKE YARD WORK :)
We are very blessed to have been able to buy our house three years ago. This house was and still is a fixer upper. We or more correctly Daniel has done so much work on this house to make it our home. Our current project has been our yard.

When we bought the house, the yard was not in good shape.
(Showing our parents the house) Overgrow bushes
Nasty cactus
rough, uneven dirt work (partially due to an above ground pool the previous owner had) and a deck and concrete patio that had settled making water drain towards the house rather than away
So, we made a plan and got busy.
We killed grass, removed bushes & cactus.
We had great help from friends to remove the deck.
(Sold the engineered wood on Craigslist)
We removed gravel from three sides of our house.
Daniel and his dad spent an entire day doing the horrible job of breaking up the large concrete patio.
This job was so horrible. My husband and father in law are incredible people to do this as is anyone else who can do such back breaking work everyday.
Then mid project, we noticed termite damage on our north wall - pinholes, paint peeling, etc.
We waited until the dirt work was done to have our house treated for termites. Yuck.
This is our yard after the dirt work was done which we hired out.
Then Daniel tilled,
fertilized, seeded, and started watering.
We do not have a well or sprinkler system so this part also requires a decent amount of time and effort.
But we are so grateful for the ability and resources to be able to do this.
Here is our yard, months from the start of this long, hard process.
It's great to see all the hard work pay off and for our yard to be a safer place for Cameron to play.
I'm so proud of Daniel and his motivation, hard work, and ability.
I am so blessed.
