We love going to the zoo.
We have a membership which has been a great investment because we live so close and can literally go over and spend an hour or two seeing animals and running around having fun. Plus he naps so much better when we have an activity in the morning like the zoo, the park, running errands, etc.

The zoo is great. I love the exhibits by continent. The children's farms. I even brave the amphibian & reptile building once in a while just so Cameron can see those as well.

love that so many of the exhibits allow the animals to be so close - it gives Cameron the best chance to actually see them
this is Ivan the male tiger, and he's so huge and beautiful but very grateful for the very strong glass in between us

running and running - I almost always let Cameron get out and run around in the Tiger exhibit and Gorilla Exhibit because they are partially inside which means air conditioned when hot & just easier to keep track of him :)

one of the hippos actually out of the water (which we've been to the zoo a lot but have never seen the hippos out of the water unless they are inside the exhibit) - I think trying to eat leaves that had fallen

Hopefully, I'm teaching Cameron lots while we're there and he's learning lots.
